NASA is an investment in the future.

Penny4NASA is circulating a petition advocating that NASA should be maintained at 1% of the Federal budget because it is an investment.  It is currently at about 0.5% of the Federal budget.

NASA does work that depends on doing the science right, from orbital mechanics, to space weather and understanding of the Sun and solar environment.  Note that NO ONE from the Electric Universe (Challenges Evaded by EU), Geocentrist (barycenters, 3-bodies), or Young-Earth Creationist (SED) groups has demonstrated competence in using their claimed science knowledge to do any of these things.

America, and in many cases the rest of the world, benefit from doing the science right.
